Lots of laughs

Well, there were threatening tears as well as lots of laughs from this session a couple of weeks ago. That's the thing with doing a session with little kids - if they really don't want to do something, you'll know about it instantly! But we had a lot of fun too at the park with 1 and 11 year old daughters.

This session was a gift to Tim from a friend of his and I'm sure the gift will be treasured for many years to come. There were heaps of great shots from this session and I have heard from Tim and his daughters that they love them. I wish I had endless space to show all of them, but here's just some of those great shots.

New Camera

I picked up my new camera last week and I'm loving it. It's a Canon 5D mark II with an L series(luxury) lens and so far I've been very happy with the pictures coming out of it. I'm really looking forward to using it on your portraits and weddings.

Published!

You may remember the photos from Amy and Malcolm's wedding which I posted in November. Well, some of those photos were recently published in the local paper. So excited.

Wade and Kathy

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this engaged couple. Wade reckoned Kathy was nervous. Well, if nerves make you smile and laugh, then I wouldn't be worried about it. Of course there was nothing to worry about as I think these photos testify. I'm looking forward to shooting the wedding next year.

Klassen family

I had a lot of fun shooting this session and I haven't finished editing, but I was so excited by these shots, I just had to share. The flower that I meant to be used by the parents in a little romantic photo of just them, ending up looking absolutely beautiful in the hands of their daughter. What's the saying, the best laid plans... Many thanks to the Klassens. Enjoy the photos.

Parmenter family

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the family of some friends of mine. They have a beautiful new daughter and two handsome sons. One son wasn't particularly smiley that day so dad was kept busy finding his special toys (not shown here) to entertain the boys. In the end the best shots were after a wizzy dizzy and shoulder ride. The simple things in life eh...

I hope you like the photos.

Amy & Malcolm's Wedding

Congratulations to Amy and Malcolm for a great wedding day. They coped very well few the threatening clouds and changes to plans. Here's a sneak peak at some of my favourite photos from the day.

I'm so excited! I picked up this wedding photobook order today. They are really lovely, and are a relatively inexpensive way to produce an album.

I'm sure the bride and groom and their families who have ordered one for themselves will love it.

I'd love to produce more of these, whether for weddings, baby albums, engagement albums, or whatever your special occasion. If you'd like one personally designed, please let me know and we'll make arrangement to discuss.

Scott Chocolate

While my husband and I were on a day out in Fremantle, we came across a busker and thought we'd stop to watch.

Well, next thing we know, my husband is being asked to get up there and he's acting like a monkey and doing 'monkey juggling.'
Eventually Scott Chocolate, the busker, got to his main trick, which my husband and another man helped him to get set up.

And well, being a busker means you ask for money after the show.

Guilderton

My husband and I spent a couple of days in Guilderton recently. We loved our little getaway as we don't get to do this very often. Of course, the camera went every where with me; I'm so fortunate to have a husband that doesn't mind me taking photos. In fact, he's the one often make suggestions!!

In the next photo I love the reflection in my husband's sunnies.
